Japan Visa – Family Visit

Japan Visit Visa:

– Min. 6 months valid passport (with two blank pages)
– Old passport (if any)
– Filled and signed visa application form
– 2 photos – 2 x 2 inches, white background, matte finish, 70% face
– Covering letter (on company letter-head; if self-emloyed)
– Leave sanction letter from the company with leave dates
– Salary slips for 6 months
– Shop-Act License / MoA copy (if self-employed)
– For student, student ID card copy
– Air ticket
– Day to day tour itinerary
– Latest personal IT Returns copy or Form 16
– 3 months personal bank statement with bank seal and signature (it should show salary transfers)
– Proof of relationship with inviter/guarantor (Marriage certificate, birth certificate etc.)

Documents from Inviter in Japan:
– Original invitation letter sent by courier from Japan
– Schedule of stay
– Original letter of guarantee if the inviter is bearing the expenses
– Certificate of income/bank deposit/copy of final tax return/certificate of tax payment
– Copy of passport (first and last page)
– Copy of latest and valid Japan visa
– Copy of passport pages with status items; entry / departure and permission of residence
– Copy of the certificate of alien registration (front and back)

Multiple Entry Visa Application Conditions:
– Should have a travel record to Japan in the last 3 years
– Should have a travel record to G7 countries (Canada, USA, UK, Japan, Germany, France or Italy) in the last 3 years
– Should have sufficient financial capacity
– Covering letter stating the reason of applying for multiple entry visa

Note:

— Application should be submitted not less than 15 working days from the date of travel
— Visa, VFS and courier charges (approx. INR 2000) to be paid in cash only at VFS Mumbai, Pune, Ahamedabad and Goa
— Those who received eVISA have to show “visa issuance notice” on a mobile device at the airport (internet access is needed!). In the form of PDF, photo, screenshot or printed copy will not be accepted
— Arrange the documents as per the Documents Checklist and attach a copy of the same along with the visa application form
— All photocopies should be on A4 size only
— Do not staple the documents
— Prepare single set of common documents for families & group

• Visa documents list is tentative; the Embassy/Consulate shall call for more, if required

• The Embassy/Consulate shall call for an interview with the applicant(s), if needed
• Visa processing times may vary at the discretion of the issuing authority
• Hotel bookings / ticket itinerary charges, if any, will be additional
• Covid-19 vaccination proof with booster dose might be required during travel
