Germany Visa – Tourist

Germany Tourist Visa:

– Min.3 months validity passport beyond the date of return with at least 2 empty pages and shouldn’t have any observation pages regarding the front data page
– Old passport (If any)
– Application form to be filled online on Videx http://visa.diplo.de and signed in blue ink only (not back to back)
– 2 photos (latest, unused) – 35 x 45mm, white background, matte finish, 80% face coverage
– Original covering letter (On company letter-head if self-employed) with all travel details
– Leave sanction letter from the company (if an employee)
– Employment contract / Appointment letter
– NOC of school or university (if student)
– Hotel confirmations for the entire stay in the Schengen area  ‘OR’ 
– The invitation letter from Germany along with passport copy and visa copy of the inviter with address proof
– “Verpflichtungserklaerung” (Formal Obligation Letter) to be sent in original from Germany by the inviter
– Personal IT Returns for last 3 years
– Till date 3 months personal bank statement with original bank seal and signature and healthy balance
– Salary slips for last 3 months (if employed) 
– Shop-Act/MoM/Partnership Deed (if Self-Employed)
– Travel insurance covering the entire stay period in the Schengen area (Min. 10 Days) with a coverage of Min. $50000
– Ticket Itinerary, rail tickets, others

Note:

– Visa fees, courier and sms charges to be paid personally at the VFS centre
– Passengers should be fully vaccinated with Covishield (subject to conditions)
– List of documents is tentative and the consulate may call for more at it’s discretion
– For any document not in English or German, a notarised English translation has to be submitted
