Portugal Visa – Tourist

Portugal Tourist Visa:

– Visa Fees: 90 Euros
– Min. 3 months valid passport beyond the intended duration of stay with atleast 2 blank pages
– Old passport, if any
– Online application form with pre-payment of service fees
– 2 photos (latest, unused) – 35 x 45mm, white background, matte finish, 80% face
– Covering letter addressed to “The Consulate General of Portugal, Goa”, explaining the purpose of the visit with complete and full address and contact of Hotel/Host/Relative
– Hotel confirmations directly from hotel or from booking sites like booking.com, makemytrip.com, yatra.com etc “OR”
– Invitation & sponsorship proof from Portugal:
– Original Termo de Responsabilidade from invitee in Portugal mentioning the details of the stay in Portugal. Original signed & Stamped by Advocate in Portugal
– Inviter’s Passport copy and Copy of Residential Permit card (should be valid)
– Bank Account statement for the last 1 year of the Sponsor
– Valid Residence/Rent contract copy
– Rent receipts for the last 3 months
– Declaration/Work Contract from the Company
– Salary slips for the last 3 months
– IRS for the last 3 years
– Travel insurance for a minimum of $50000/ and should cover the entire journey to the Schengen area including the date of arrival and departure
– Return ticket
– Latest original bank statement of self & sponsor with sufficient balance
– Last 12 months
– A-4 size format only
– Bank seal and signature
– Name and address of the account holder
– Photocopies or e-statements are not acceptable
– 3 years IT returns of self (& company, if self-employed)
– 3 months’ salary slip (if working)
– Copy of PAN card of the applicant
– Proof of occupation of the applicant
– Passport copy (front and back) and any previous Schengen visas and valid UK & US visas, if any
– Declaration form

Note:

— Visa fees, courier and sms charges to be paid personally at the VFS centre (approx. INR8800)
— Applicants could be asked for additional documents or may be called for an interview if desired by the Consulate General of Portugal, Goa
— Applicants applying through the Consulate of Portugal, Goa will be required to appear for a personal interview if there has been no travel to a Schengen country within the last 3 years at the time of submission. The VAC shall help you take an appointment for the same. Interview will be taken over Skype at the VFS
— Carry all documents in Original at the time of Interview
— All applicants are required to submit confirmed return tickets with complete payment details upon collection of their passports if the visa is issued
— Travel date should be beyond 15 working days from the date of submission
