South Africa Visa – Family Visit

S. Africa Family/Friend Visit:

– Min. 30 days validity passport from the date of departure from South Africa containing at least 2 blank pages
– 2 Photos (Latest, unused) – 35 x 45mm, white background, matte finish, 80% face, lips closed, without spects; not older than 1 month; scanned photo will not be accepted by the consulate
– Visa form duly filled and signed in black (ballpoint) only as per the passport (Parents to sign for minor children) {Form-11 (DHA-84)} – Do not print back to back
– Cover letter addressing the South African Consulate, Mumbai with authorized person name, designation, seal and sign mentioning travel dates with duration of stay and should also have pax address and mobile number and should clearly mention who will bear the expenses of the trip
– Invitation must addressing consulate with full physical address, contact details, signature and designation along with Government Photo ID proof of the inviter (Both attested by Commissioner of Oaths in South Africa or South African Police – within 3 months). The letter should state the name and passport number of the applicant as well as purpose and duration of stay
– Till date 3 months personal bank statement of the inviter with bank seal and signature (with bank name, address and phone numbers) and minimum balance equivalent to SAR 3000 or equivalent in INR per pax (should be taken withing 3 days prior to the submission date)
– Residence proof of the inviter (Attested by Commisioner of Oaths or South African Police) with valid date; dates valid for 90 days
– Till date 3 months pax personal bank statement with bank seal and signature and healthy balance
– Salary slip of the applicant for latest 3 months
– Leave sanction letter from the employer on the company letter-head stating the name, passport number of the applicant and the duration of leave.
– For children: NOC letter required on school/college/university letter head with physical address and contact details with pax name, passport number, leave dates as per the travel dates with principal’s name, designation, and sign with school/college seal
– Birth certificate copy of a minor child (should be in English or a notarized translation is required)
– Sponsor passport copy and visa copy and first entry carry stamp copy and residence permit copy
– Sponsor latest employment proof on company letter head with full physical address, CTC number, seal and sign with authorized person name and designation
– Ticket itinerary (Ticket travel date must be after 15 working days)
– Yellow fever vaccination certificate, if travelling through or staying in yellow fever belt

Note:

— VFS, courier, sms charges etc needs to be paid personally at the VFS centre
— All government documents need to be notary attested
— If visa is rejected, applicants can reapply only after 3 months
For minor dependent children accompanied by one parent the following will be required:
— Unabridged Birth Certificate (UBS) (Notarised)
— Parental consent affidavit form attested by South African Consulate, Mumbai
— For Parental Consent Affidavit procedure both parents have to mandatorily visit South Africa Consulate Mumbai from Monday to Thursday between 09:00 to 12:00 before coming for submission at VFS Global
— Documents such as Parental Consent Affidavit form passport copy of parents as well as child + Unabridged Birth Certificate of child must be carried for Parental Consent Affidavit procedure
— Affidavit less than 3 months old as part of the application. Originals should be kept for their records while travelling Minors who apply for a South African visa at VFS service-point shall be required to submit the attested copy of Parental Consent to South Africa
