Costa Rica Visa – Tourist

Costa Rica Tourist Visa:

– Minimum 6 months’ validity passport from the date of travel
– Photocopies of all pages of the passport
– 1 Form
– 2 Photo (latest, unused) – 35 x 45mm, white background, matte finish, 80% face (without smile and spects)
– Covering letter addressed to “The Visa Officer, Embassy of Costa Rica, New Delhi” (On company letter-head, if self-employed).
– Cover letter should include full name as per passport, nationality, passport number, type and validity, address, purpose of trip, expected time of stay, date of arrival and -departure and expected port of entry and exit, occupation, address in Costa Rica, date and place of birth, fax or email address for notifications, date and signature and – who will be responsible for the expenses
– Return ticket showing return within 30 days
– Hotel confirmation “OR”
– Invitation letter: stating the relationship with the inviter and purpose of visiting the country & assuring the responsibility for housing and related expenses during the guest’s stay in Costa Rica
– Inviter’s identification proof & proof of address of the inviter
– Original PCC from passport office and it’s official translation into Spanish (both with Apostille)
– Last 3 months’ salary slips with company seal and signature of authorized signatory
– Original last 6 months’ personal bank statements with bank seal and signature with healthy balance (equivalent to at least $2000)
– If the expenses of the trip are borne by a Company or another person, then need to submit that Company’s or the other person’s 6 months’ bank statement with same criteria as above
– Personal ITRs of last 3 years
– Original birth certificate in case of minors and copy of both sides (below the age of 18 years) and it’s official translation into Spanish (both duly Apostilled from Ministry of External Affairs)
– A minor also has to present an affidavit with the signature of both parents, legalized by a notary, stating that they will be responsible of all the expenses and authorizing him/her to travel out of India. The minor has to come to an interview with the parents who signed the affidavit
– Original marriage certificate and copy of both sides and it’s official translation into Spanish (both duly Apostilled from Ministry of External Affairs)

Note:

— Applicants holding Canadian or USA (B1/B2/D) multiple-entry visas valid for minimum 6 months are exempted from visa requirements for a stay of max. 30 days
— Please note that before travel to Costa Rica applicant needs to send the scan copy of the visa and bio page of his/her passport on the Embassy email id concr-in@rree.go.cr. Only when the Embassy gives the confirmation, the Applicant can travel to the Costa Rica on their valid US visa.
— On arrival, visitors will be asked to present their passports, return ticket, valid visas of US/Canada and show that they have means to support their expenses while in Costa Rica
— The Embassy after screening the documents shall call the applicant for setting up an appointment for Personal Interview in Delhi
— Once the visa is approved the applicant shall be asked to deposit the Fees at the Embassy’s account in a nearby Bank, and then the visa shall be stamped
