Iceland Visa – Tourist

Iceland Tourist Visa:

– Min. 3 months validity passport from the date of return with atleast 2 blank pages
– All old passports with copies of valid or expired Schengen, UK and US visas (issued in the last 3 years)
– Filled out online application form and harmonized Schengen visa application form (both to be submitted)
– 2 photos (latest, unused) – 35 x 45mm, white background, matte finish, 80% face coverage, lips closed and without spects
– Covering letter from applicant introducing self, explaining purpose, duration and itinerary of the visit in brief addressed to “Embassy of Iceland, New Delhi”
– Travel insurance covering the entire stay including arrival and departure dates with a minimum coverage of $50000
– Till date updated 3 months bank statement with original bank seal and signature (on all pages) with healthy balance (8000 ISK per day for hotel stay or 4000 ISK per day if staying with family or friends)
– 2 years IT Returns (Assessment Years)
– If employed:
– Latest 3 months payslips
– Employment contract / appointment letter
– Leave sanction letter from the employer on company letter head with company stamp and signature
– If self-employed:
– Company registration copy (GST Certificate, Shop-Act, Partnership Deed, MoA etc)
– 3 months business bank account statement
– 2 years IT Returns (barcode verifiable)
– Students:
– Bonafide certificate and School/College ID card copy
– Flight reservations of return or round ticket with PNR number. If the applicant is travelling to several Schengen States, proof of inter-Schengen flight, train itinerary or car rental.
– People joining cruise liner in the onward journey, should provide the ticket & payment receipt
– Hotel reservations for the entire stay  ‘OR’
– Invitation from Iceland specifically containing the applicant’s name, address, and relationship with the inviter (proof to be attached), the duration of stay and the nature of cost being sponsored (Filled out online invitation form from here: https://island.is/en/get-a-visa/supportingdocuments)
– Copy of inviter’s passport and a copy of residence and/or work permit
– For Students: Letter confirming enrolment (Bonafide Certificate) & ID Card copy

Note:

– Visa fees, courier and sms charges to be paid personally at the VFS centre
– Visa application form to be filled, dated and signed by the applicant himself/herself only
– All supporting documents in A4 size papers only
– Family details of the applicant must be provided with the Date of Birth and occupation (Designation & Job joining date) of the family members
– In case of student the name of the Institute, course name and joining date is MUST

– Visa documents list is tentative; the Embassy/Consulate shall call for more, if required
