Italy Student Visa

– Valid passport issued within the last 10 years with a validity of at least 3 months after the entire duration of the Study Program in Italy
– Passport must bear at least 2 blank pages
– Application form duly filled and signed (in case of minors1, to be signed by both parents)
– Covering letter (max 1 page) clarifying reasons for choice of course and Italian Higher Education Institution, means of financial supports, scholarship (if applicable) and intended accommodation
– Proof of admission to the study program
– Admission letter from the Italian Higher Education Institution
– Pre-enrolment Summary downloaded from the official UNIVERSITALY portal (if required by the Italian Higher Education Institution)
– Receipt of payment of enrolment fees (the payment must be visible on the submitted bank statements)
– Proof of previous Education
– Color copy Final Degree/Final School Certificate duly attested and apostilled
– Color copy of Transcript/Marksheet duly attested and apostilled
– One of the following documents (if required by the Italian Higher Education Institution):
– Copy of Declaration of Value (DOV)
– Copy of CIMEA Certificate
– If you do not have a DOV already with you, you will be able to apply for a student visa ONLY if on the same day you apply for the DOV as well
– CV of applicant
– Proof of Economic Background and Financial Support
– Proof of means of support of not less than 6079,45 € per one year or 506,62€ for each month of the entire intended period of stay
– 6 months original bank statement of applicant stamped and signed by branch manager
– Documents proving applicant’s source of income (employment/business activity, ITR for last 3 years, DEMAT, family income certificate downloaded from official State Government portals, Educational loan)
– If financially supported by a sponsor (only parent or legal guardians)
– 6 months original bank statement of applicant’s Sponsor (along with the original bank statement of the applicant)
– Sponsor ID proof and sponsorship letter
– Documents proving sponsor’s source of income (employment/business activity, ITR for last 3 years, DEMAT, family income certificate downloaded from official State Government portals, Educational loan)
– Travel Medical Insurance with a coverage of at least 30,000 €, valid for the first 6 months of stay in Italy, including the “repatriation clause”
– Roundtrip airline ticket reservation (PNR/booking reference number will be verified) OR a minimum of 2.000 Euros on top of the minimum required proof of financial support mentioned in point no. 6 valid both for short and long stay study visa
– Accommodation:Adequate proof of boarding and lodging in Italy for at least 30 days

Note

— Appointment should be booked only at Mumbai or Cochin
— All student applicants need to schedule their student visa appointment using their own email ID and the Contact number
— Complete your Video Conference interview at the visa application centre immediately after submitting the application. The interview will be conducted by the officer from the Consulate General of Italy
— All documents submitted for legalization would be crossed checked with the documents submitted for visa application and should there be any discrepancy, strict action would be taken against the applicants
— Italy Consulate General, in Mumbai will accept study visa applications only for students residing in the States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Kerala, the applications can be submitted exclusively in the VFS centers of Mumbai and Cochin
— Students residing in Mumbai jurisdiction (Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Kerala) whose Indian final degree or high school diploma were issued in the following States that are no longer part of Mumbai jurisdiction (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), will be required to submit their application for DOV with the Consulate General of Italy in Bangalore, and apply for a visa ONLY if they have their DOV ready to submit
